Africa Leadership Development Institute

We believe that if, through our ministry, leaders are changed for Christ, they will use their influence and leadership to change for the better the lives of those they lead. Leadership development, therefore, is key to our future. Our leadership initiatives are part of our Africa Leadership Development Institute (ALDI), the objective of which is to provide godly leadership development.

Among our institute's initiatives are:

Extension Courses
We offer a number of courses of varying length that cater to different leadership and social empowerment needs. The Ascent Leadership Training Course is an accredited two-week-in-residence, four-month-in-the-workplace course. It draws leaders into a process of self-discovery and the acquisition of fundamental organisational leadership skills. The Diploma of Social Empowerment (DSE) is a three-year social empowerment course equipping individuals with the skills to facilitate development in their community. We also offer workshops, short courses and seminars in related topics. All courses are available in a number of locations.

Schools Leadership Programme:
The Schools Leadership Programme is designed to prepare today's young leaders for today and tomorrow, is taken into schools and run alongside other missions and ministry concentrating at this level. Included in this programme are HIV/Aids education and evangelical outreach. The programme is directed at existing leaders in the school community prefects, sports captains, SRC representatives as well as emerging and potential leaders who must be recognised and nurtured. They all need to be brought into the Christian leadership framework for their own and the country's benefit. The SLP is run within the schools in their own contexts. We also encourage further leadership development outside of the school environment through other organisations allied to AE.
