 The beautiful AE Centre, nestling in the lush Town Bush Valley about 10 km from the centre of Pietermaritzburg, close to Hilton and next to Queen Elizabeth Nature Reserve, offers quiet and restful facilities for companies, organisations, institutions and foundations seeking a congenial venue for conferences, teaching seminars and other meetings or events. A variety of wildlife, such as buck and monkeys, come and go freely throughout the property and almost 100 bird species have been identified in the surrounding bush and forests.
The centre can accommodate up to 114 guests in three single-bed rooms, six double-bed rooms, 10 twin-bed rooms, six five-bed family rooms and three 12-bed rooms. Each room is tastefully furnished, with bedding provided, and most have their own shower or bath. Towels are available on request. A large, comfortable lounge with TV (SATV and ETV only) forms part of the dining hall complex and has its own central fireplace. Bed & Breakfast accommodation is offered. Please note that no alcohol is allowed.
Training and Lecture Halls
The main conference hall, which seats up to 150 people (theatre-style), is fully equipped with OHP/screen/white board/flip chart, and a public address system is available on request. We have two fully-equipped smaller rooms, seating from 15 to 50 (theatre-style) are also available as breakaway rooms or for smaller groups.
The Lounge and Dining Room
A large, comfortable lounge, with a central fireplace as well as television, forms part of the dining complex. Three meals a day, as well as teas, are provided in the attractive dining room, which is part of the original homestead. Special menus and banquets can be arranged.
The Prayer Chapel
The chapel is a lovely feature of the Centre. It is built in the middle of a fish pond and provides a place of quiet and reflection.
The Offices
As the regional headquarters of African Enterprise, the Centre is the base for many of AE's full-time workers. A small community lives on site, some in training, others as interns or guest workers who have come to express their love for Christ through service.

6 x Family Cabins - five single beds (total 30 beds), shower and separate toilet en-suite. Four cabins fitted with gas geysers, two with electric geysers; all have electric space heaters).
2 x 4 twin-bedroom units - (total 16 beds). Each four-bedroomed unit has a bath and toilet combo, separate shower and a second separate toilet, gas geyser in one unit, electric in the other. All rooms have electric space heaters.
1 x unit with 2 two single bed rooms and 1 x double bed room (total four beds), two toilet/shower combinations. (Gas geysers and electric space heaters.)
